Leka was born in 1983 in the neighborhood of pueblo nuevo Barcelona.<\/p>\n
2016<\/p>\n
In 2016 after reforming and expanding our premises with the Open Source concept where we freely shared the digital manufacturing designs of our furniture made by the Fab Lab in Barcelona, we tripled our sales and at the same time our waste. Every day we called suppliers without caring where they came from and what impact the products had, we just wanted a good product at a good price.<\/p>\n
In that year we started to worry about food at home and we started a research work that still lasts today.<\/p>\n

Reducing thousands of indirect kilometers of our products, and reducing 50% of the direct transportation to our restaurant.<\/p>\n
We started to buy all local products which were respectful of the environment and animal welfare.<\/p>\n
We started to produce our own soft drinks, bringing more health to our diners in both food and beverages.<\/p>\n

The restaurant Can Valldaura with more than 50 years, has been a social meeting point over time, in June 2019 the previous landlord decided to leave the business, and due to our work in sustainability and ethical food, the Institute of Architecture of Catalonia proposed us to the City Council of Cerdanyola as possible lessors to continue with the restaurant, so we presented a restoration project based on sustainability, circularity, ethical environmental principles and we were granted the opportunity to improve the facilities and develop our project, in the middle of the natural lung of Barcelona.<\/p>\n
